The ASICS City Relay is back for 2016.

RUN SINGAPORE BY | UPDATED 9 YEARS AGO

After a successful first outing last year, the ASICS City Relay is back for 2016. Registration has just opened over the weekend, and this year’s event has a limit of 1500 teams to ensure a pleasant experience for all competitors.

Happening on 24th September 2016 at 6.00pm, the race starts and finishes from inside the National Stadium.

The format of the relay will see each team member run either one lap or two laps of the course around the Sports Hub precinct, which is a 5.25km km circuit. All relay changeovers will take place within the Stadium. While their teammates are completing each individual leg, participants can prepare for their race or warm down within a designated athlete zone on the pitch. Results and timing updates will also be shown on a giant LED screen within the stadium to keep everyone updated on the leading teams.

The event is split into two distances, Marathon (42km) and Half-Marathon (21km) with various categories within each. Participants can register as all-Male, all-Female, Mixed teams; or join the Corporation category or School category. Each runner will form a four person team and will complete a total of either 10.5km or 5.25km.

A total of 560 Early Bird team slots will initially be made available at S$200 for half marathon, and $220 for marathon sign ups on a first-come, first-served basis while Normal team slots will be available at $220 for half marathon, and $240 for marathon respectively.

Online registration is now open at www.cityrelay.com.sg
