Great Eastern Women’s Run opens for registration

This year’s GEWR, to be held on 14th October at the Singapore Sports Hub, had its public launch this morning at the Great Eastern Centre at Pickering Street. In conjunction with the brand’s 110th anniversary, the first 110 registrants got to enjoy a special registration fee of just S$11 for any category. Needless to say, the queue started forming at 6.30 A.M. By the official opening time at 11 A.M., more there 700 people were already in line to sign up. Even though those further down the line did not secure the S$11 sign up special, they did get exclusive roadshow prices, and registrants with Great Eastern’s GETGREAT and UPGREAT apps also received a special goodie bag. The first 100 participants to sign up for the 2km Mummy + Me Run or the Princess Dash will receive a My Little Pony Mini Plush Toy. Great Eastern Women's Run The registration counter at the Great Eastern Centre will stay open until 7 pm tonight and continues tomorrow, so aspiring runners who have yet to secure their race slots still have time to secure the exclusive launch rates. Participants also have the option to pay an additional S$10 to purchase a limited edition 110th Anniversary package, which includes a Reebok sports bra worth S$49. This year’s GEWR 2018 also sees the introduction of a new 110-metre Sprint category, to mark Great Eastern’s 110th-anniversary milestone. Find out more at
