Heat can affect your performance quite adversely, thus many companies have been trying to research and develop new ways to help us combat the heat. Under Armour’s latest cooling technology is called Iso-Chill, which is designed to suck up the heat from the moment you put it on.

It has a refreshing sensation that is cool to the touch, with ribbon-shaped nylon fibres that lay flat and help to disperse heat. There is also titanium dioxide (the stuff that is in sunscreen) in the thread that moves heat away from the body.

UA did some testing with their athletes wearing Iso-Chill and it resulted in 7-12% longer times to hit their VO2 max. This means being able to delay the effect of heat on your performance so you can last longer.

Right now the Iso-Chill range covers caps, polo tees, shorts and pants for golf, as well as running tees and singlets.

You can pair the Iso-Chill running tee or singlet with UA’s Speedpocket range, which has running shorts and tights with their front pocket solution. A few years back, UA designers realised four major challenges runners face when they try to carry items with them.

Their solution was the UA Speedpocket, an expandable centre-front waistband pocket, which solves all four challenges – secure with the right tension so your things don’t fall out, water-resistant so that your things are safe from sweat and water damage, easily accessible so you can put your things in effortlessly, and adaptable so you can put more than more item. For example, a plus-sized phone can fit with no bouncing!

Both the UA Iso-Chill and Speedpocket ranges are available at www.underarmour.com.sg.
