BY The OSIM Sundown Marathon 2023 recently held a Media and Friends event on 7 March 2023, inviting running groups and brand partners to meet with the newly appointed licensee RUNRIO Inc and co-organizer Infinitus Productions Pte Ltd. Exciting news and announcements were unveiled during the event, generating much anticipation for the upcoming race.
One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of the President and CEO of RUNRIO Inc, Rio de la Cruz, who is the newly appointed licensee of Sundown Marathon. Attendees were able to gain insights on how RUNRIO, a well-established events company, will be elevating the OSIM Sundown Marathon brand and bring new experiences to the runners.
Citing the unique nature of the night race, running groups who have been eagerly waiting for the return of OSIM Sundown Marathon were also thrilled to learn about the many planned partnerships in the pipeline. Some of the exciting initiatives that were shared include the expansion of Sundown Marathon race across the Southeast Asia region over the next year, such as Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.
"We are thrilled to be able to bring back the OSIM Sundown Marathon after a two-year hiatus. The event has become a highlight of the local running calendar, and we know that participants have been eagerly awaiting its return," said Jeffrey Foo, Director, Infinitus Productions Pte Ltd, co-organiser of the OSIM Sundown Marathon.
The Media and Friends event also saw the presence of Sundown Marathon’s longstanding title sponsor, OSIM that has been supporting the race since 2015. As a Singapore-based brand and a pioneer in the Wellness Tech industry, OSIM is also enthusiastic in supporting the growth of the Sundown Marathon both locally and regionally.
Among the running groups, the pacers from Running Department were also in attendance to share their lead up run schedules and plans as they look forward to help runners prepare adequately for the OSIM Sundown Marathon 2023. Training sessions of varying distances are put in place for the public to join in.
An evening of good food and warm company, attendees had the opportunity to mingle with each other and share their love for running, while enjoying their meals which were graciously prepared by AMGD. The positive atmosphere generated by the gathering of running groups and brand partners added to the excitement for the forthcoming OSIM Sundown Marathon 2023 race.
