A rainbow is often seen after a heavy rain or storm. It consists of 7 colours and is often acknowledged as a glimmer of hope. This year, the 7th edition of Run For Light is back with a theme ‘Rainbow of Light’ which signifies hope at the end of the tunnel, given the challenging pandemic period the world has been in.
Run For Light 2022 will have an on-site race happening on 14 May 2022 at Punggol Waterway Park. For those interested in a virtual race, you may still participate over a duration of 2 days and run anywhere & anytime within the stipulated timeframe. Participants may select their preferred running distance of either 5 km (fun run) or 10 km (competitive run). Both on-site and virtual run will kick off on 14 May, Saturday, with the virtual run lasting over a 2-day duration. For this virtual run, there is no cap in the participation number.
Given the current restriction for the physical race, a total of 600 on-site runners, 300 runners per category get to compete in 5KM and 10KM category on a controlled flag-off basis. Registration is based on a first-come-first-served until all allotted slots are filled.
Let the 7 colours of the ‘Rainbow of Light’ shine bright in the 7th edition of Run For Light. Live well, race well & all will be well!
